What it is
Hydrolysed type I and III bovine collagen peptides from EU pasture-raised cattle. Hydrolysed means the protein is broken into small peptides that dissolve fully in hot or cold liquid.
Dose per serving
One 10g scoop daily, stirred into coffee, water or food. 10g is the amount most human studies actually used — many brands sell 2.5g doses and imply the same results.
What the evidence says
We’ll be straight with you: there is no authorised health claim for collagen on the GB register, so we won’t make one. Collagen is a protein, and protein contributes to the maintenance of muscle mass and normal bones.
What it doesn’t do
It isn’t a vegetarian product and it isn’t a miracle. If a collagen brand promises to erase wrinkles, that claim isn’t permitted — draw your own conclusion.
Usage & allergens
One serving daily. Contains none of the 14 major allergens. Bovine origin. Food supplements should not replace a varied, balanced diet.
